The Shape of Things to Come by Xadrik-Xu The Shape of Things to Come by Xadrik-Xu
Well it's late in the hour and a few more grains of sand will fall.
On the colorful flowers grown upon the dust and moss.
Now I feel the worst is near,
I hold them close and count their years.
And pray a ray of light appears
To shine down on us here

Breakdown in the shape of things to come
But I'm moving on like a soldier.
And I say now when all is said and done:
It's not ours to break, the shape of things to come.

There's a crack in the clouds, but only for a moment now
Like an owl looking out, the blue sky spies the roads we will go down.
I wonder what they hold for us? I hold my family to my breast,
I feel the worst and hope the best will come to see us blessed.

Breakdown in the shape of things to come
But I'm moving on like a soldier.
And I say now when all is said and done:
It's not ours to break, the shape of things to come.
Hey! Hey!

Give me one more try in what I'll change.
I won't deny the thought is strange.
I've done my best and now will lay no blame myself.

Breakdown in the shape of things to come
But I'm moving on like a soldier.
And I say now when all is said and done:
It's not ours to break, the shape of things to come.

The shape of things to come.
The shape of things to come.

Hi Paul,

When I first saw this without reading the description block. The first thing I though of was how in the old days the concept of the world was that it was flat.

Then we traveled out into space and saw that our concepts of things were incorrect and it was round. This particular artwork by just the title name and how you incorporated the image inside the sphere made me wonder if we could move even further outside of the sphere of our present reality just how incorrect our concepts of today might be.

Thanks Lynn, yes we owe so much to Copernicus and few people even know what he did...I would recommend reading "The Copernican Revolution"...It contents much the same thing as you have written here...I.e. in every single instance of human thought we "Knew" and had the "Facts" and at every subsequent stage these were found to be fatally flawed... :)

I'm so impressed. You are so knowledgeable in so many areas.

I have heard of the Copernican Revolution but have never actually read it. Talking about flawed theories. I was not too surprised when I was told the theory of relativity was mathematically incorrect.

Yes. They never seem to factor in that a few different things can explain the same thing satisfactorily...It seems that once something becomes a "Law" of Physics etc. then all of the subsequent theories and speculations that pertain to it are inherently flawed also.

Paul.

Wouldn't it be interesting to come back 200 years from now and see how many of our present laws of physics turn out to be flawed.

In spirit I meant. lol

I have some really off beat theories on the afterlife.

I like the one concept that once we leave this earth we become one with the cosmos and gain knowledge of all the mysteries of life that drive us crazy not being able to get answers to now.

lol. Okay now you know I'm a bit on the crazy side. I read to much fantasy and science fiction. :)
